Ice Cream Cupcakes – Kids Birthday Party Food Recipes
Now, don’t let the name of the recipe intimidate you. This birthday party food recipe is amazingly easy to make, even if you have never baked anything before. To make ice cream cupcakes, just make mix up some chocolate cake batter and spoon them into large cupcake liners, making sure that you only put in enough so that the liners get only two-thirds full once the cupcakes are baked. You can use any recipe you have, or just cheat by buying some chocolate cake mix and using that.
Bake the cupcakes according to direction. In the meantime, set aside a container of ice cream and let it soften so that you can easily scoop it later. Choose a flavor that goes well with chocolate, like mocha, rocky road, or pistachio. Once the cupcakes are done, spoon out enough ice cream to fill the cupcake liners almost full. Top with some sprinkles, or spread some ice cream shell syrup on top to create a candy coated cover. Put the cupcakes in the freezer so that the ice cream gets cold enough and only take out when ready to serve.
No-Bake Graham Cake – Kids Birthday Party Food Recipes
This is another make-ahead birthday cake dessert that kids and adults alike will love. This dish can be made as early as five days ahead, as long as it is kept in the freezer. Just set it out a few hours before the party to thaw out.
To make the cake cream, just mix together some condensed milk and cream. There are no measurements used in this recipe, the amount of ingredients you put in depends on how sweet you want your graham cake to be.
In a glass pan, lay a single layer of graham crackers on the bottom. Put in enough cake cream to cover the graham crackers. Add a layer of fruits on top of the crackers. You can use peaches, mango, or canned fruit cocktail. When in season, strawberries could be a good option too. Add more cake cream, then another layer of graham crackers. Continue layering until you reach the top of the pan. Just make sure that you use enough cake cream so that your cake ends up moist and not dry.
